We basically stood around the temple grounds waiting for everyone to arrive and when finally everyone arrived, we made our way upstairs since that's what we saw everyone doing... we managed to sit near the entrance so that we would be able to catch glimpse of them... I wanted to sit along the aisle so that I could take pics... hehehe... and indeed I took loads... though some were not clear... *siGh*
The whole occassion was so grand, it felt like i was in one of those bollywood movies... the atmosphere was filled with joy, music and colors. We got to see some not too bad looking guys... o0o0o.... n 1 of them was Dinesh's younger brother... hahah... and a few really pretty ladies... :) Their saris they wore were so very very nice!!! Like what Esther always say, Indians have very nice and sharp features... and these were only enhanced when they wore their bright n glittery saris... :)
I observed and learnt the customs n traditions in an Indian wedding and the brief description of what Priya told me about the wedding finally made sense... it was truly an eye-opener. Hehehe... cos she was explaning to me sometimes when we took the train back what they were supposed to do and all... It also helped that my mum is a Hindustan Movie addict... and the many saturadays and sundays that I stayed home to watch Bollywood films with her finally paid off...
These are the pics that I've managed to take on their Joyous Occasion... :)
After the wedding, we went to take the NEL train with Angie, Jac and Zena... went back to Hougang to get the car. Den we stayed on to wait for Mummy, Van and Sara to come back cos they went Orchard... Sara was supposed to meet her frenz in Sentosa as well but they were coming later... In the end as they wanted to bring Terry and Tommy to Sentosa, all of them came over to stay at our plc...
Hmm... as expected, Tommy pee at the wrong spot the moment he came to our plc... of cos he had a good wacking from Van as I was busy cleaning up... den it was Terry's turn! He pee-ed on Toby & Tamy's Ikea pillow... *sigh* more cleaning to do. Terry and Tommy were initially left in the kitchen to slp. But when we could finally turn in, Van heard Tommy scratching on the kitchen glass door.
In the end, both of them slept in the room with Van & Sara... this still did not resolve the problem... Apparently, Terry had difficulty slping... Aiyoz... Troublesome ah these 2 boys... It was close to 3am when we could finally sleep... and den we woke up at 7am or so... shag man... not enaf sleep... but we made our way to sentosa...
We bumped into Serene and family at the carpark... and could already hear Emma's singing... hehehe... bright and earli... she was announcing her arrival.. hahah... made our way to the meeting plc... some of them were already there... :) Van and Sara oso went to choose one of the huts to set up their stuff... and the set up their hammock...
Many in fact i think everyone turned up for the gathering... the crowd was good... the food was fantastic... we had so much to eat... jus to name a few, we had fried rice... chicken wings... fish ball... topshell... sandwiches... salad... lots of drinks and ice... and not forgettin my chips n salsa... there were even alcohol... but not many drank as I think it was so earli and many were driving.
Every one of us had fun, all the furkids oso had fun running around the beach n into the water... it was reali cool for a very hot day... though it rain for jus a short while... the weather was still good... :) Didnt get to speak to much of the owners as we were busy looking out for the 4 of them... hahaha... but im pretty sure we will be able to meet up for another gathering soon... and hopefully this time, Fionn & Mave can join us with Yoshi and Shiro... :)
I'm so looking forward to going to Sentosa again... of cos with my babies... heheh... :) Lian Hoon sms-ed me that they were at Palawan... such a waste that we couldnt meet up... Nevermind, we decided that we would have another gathering to Sentosa after Toby recovers from his surgury...
These are the shots that captured the happy moments on Tanjong Beach :)
We left Sentosa around 1.15pm to bring the kids for their grooming session at RPP. This was to be Tamy's 1st grooming there by Marc. We left all 4 of them there after checking if they could take in Terry and Tommy and headed back home to shower. After that, we went to Sungei Kadut to look for cupboard. Adter going to 3 places, we finally found 1 at this place called Novena. Not too bad looking... heheh... it's a 4 door cupboard so I can use a part to put Toby's and Tamy's stuff. Hehehe...
After that, we went to Beach Road cos Mr Lee wanted to look at his fishing stuff... so off we went... not many shops were open since it was already pass 4pm. We went to this 1 shop which looked rather decent... and started looking at the rods... In the end, I chose a rod for myself :D The one i chose was a rather long rod... I cant quite remember how long liao... probably 6ft? Greyish metallic in color with abit of red here n there...
Why i chose this apart from liking the color? Cos I tot it was a good rod because of its flexible tip... ehehe... even after we asked the owner of the shop, he too recommended that we get the rod i chose... he said it was good and value for money... HA! Hey... I oso have experience in choosing a good rod ok... hahaha... Garry initially said that I was crazy to choose such a long rod... Huh! In the end, he bought another rod in the same length as well =Þ
Anyway after finialising on that rod, we chose our reel and the other accessories... :) As we were almost done, RPP called to inform us that we could go fetch them... so we quickly made payment for our barang... and the total damage was about $330. Goodness... I could get a new LV bag with the amount spent on the cupboard n fishing stuff :
We went back to RPP and were stuck at the carpark gantry as we couldn't dial into their extension. In the end I got off to go to their shop 1st... *siGh* There smething happened that made me kinda frustrated. I dun like it when people use condescending tone or talk to me as if I'm an idiot for not understanding what they are sayin when it is obvious that the mistake lies with them.
What happened was that we were stuck outside for almost 10min trying to get thru their extension so that they could lift the barrier for our car to get in, but obviously there was something wrong with their line as I couldnt call thru while using my mobile. Initially, I thought that it was because they were on the line with their customer. So, I got down to go to the shop hoping to get them to lift the carrier.
When I reached the shop, it was pack with 3 other owners, and the guy who was manning the counter was not on the phone. So i waited till he was done with the current customer before approaching him to ask him to lift the carrier. He then gave me that look and said "You have to press the red button and den our unit no so that my phone here will ring and then I will lift the barrier." So i told him that we tried that many times but we couldnt get thru the line.
He then told me cant be possible cos the line is free and he looked at his phone on the counter and back at me as if I didnt understand what he meant. So I told him again that obviously it wasnt working. He looked like he didnt believe me and so I said Fine. I will use my hp to call u now. Which i did. Then I showed him my HP screen which said something like... User busy. Try Again?
When he saw my hp, den and only den did he lift his phone to check. Den he went into the grooming area which I presume was to check with someone if the line was put down properly or not before coming out to say Sorrie in a soft tone and ask whoever is waiting to try again. At the beginning, I was still in a tolerable mood. It was only after he used that tone he did when answering me that got me mad. Waited for about another 5min or so before it was our turn. Paid my bills and den checked our 4 kids to ensure that evything was ok before leaving the place.
After yesterday's incident, I'm now toying with the idea of whether or not to change groomer cos of the few unpleasant incidents that I've experienced myself. Although I like their grooming style for Schnauzers, I dunno how long I can put up with the attitude. Not only from the staff but oso the owner. Somehow, as they get popular and in demand, their attitude change... Been with them for at least a year and yet, they still dun recognise my kids, not to mention myself.
Obviously, my once a month business is not good enough for them... not to mention that I was there sending Toby for his skin treatment every week for a month when he had minor skin problems in Decemeber. I might as well take my business elsewhere where not only me but my furkids could be treated better... *siGh* I have a month before I make my decision but I'm pretty sure my minds made up... Like what Garry tells me... "why get so pek cek each time u call to make an appointment for their grooming and when we have to go and fetch them back. Not happy, look for another groomer. It's not as if we are not paying for their service."
It's sad and a waste that I have to make such a decision but I tink it would be for the better for not only me but also my Prince and Princess. Anyway on a lighter note, I'm happy with the way Tamy was groomed. No doubts about that... Here's how my Princess looks now.... Like Snow White boh? hahaha.... maybe not t white la... more Silvery?
A pic of Tamy and Toby taken jus after dinner today... :)
This is Tamy's dun mess with me look... hahaha... :)
I guess I better end off here.... next 2 weeks will be a busy and tiring week for me since I'd be working 2 weekends in a row. *SiGh* but on a happier note, at least we are being paid 3 times our OT rate for the 4 weekends and on a brighter note, OT pay will be based on our new annual adjusted pay. Hehehe.... OH YA!! We received our increament letter today from Cheng Yee. I'm surprised with the increament percentage. And the other news is that we have officially been reshuffled into our new teams. And I will be reporting to Michelle from 1 July :) Thank God. I must have done something right...
