~*~ Ebi's last day ~*~

After doing what we had to do earlier today, I popped by CK Tangs as Mr Lee finally agreed to get this... Our own food dehydrator!! YiPPy!!~ :) Didnt spend too long in town and we were back home after the purchase... :)

I've been bugging Mr Lee to get me one of these and he finally agreed to today... I've been wanting to get this as I wanted to make my own dehydrated treats for the furkids since its so much cheaper in the long run... kekeke... who knows, we can even make some to sell it... hahaha... not to earn lots of profit but jus enough to cover cost of this machine and maybe alittle more for Toby & Tamy's treats... hahaha... any takers if I were to start making and selling my treats??

This is how the inside of the dehydrator looks like... the standard packaging comes with 5 trays and we can buy more trays to extend the height. Each tray is selling at S$15. It comes with 1 netted and plastic lining each. As the sales auntie gave us an extra piece of the plastic lining, we decided to get 2 more to line the insides so that the "grill" wont get too dirty and we wont have too much trouble scrubing the grim & oil away on each tray...

One thing good about this dryer is that we get to dehydrate fruits/food for our own consumption as well as for the dogs... hehehe... the sales auntie even gave us samples of dehydrated apples and grapes to try... wah I must say they are 100% all natuaral and it tastes so so yummy!!~ :)

We went to the supermarket to get apples, salmon, beef and pork... and this is our 1st attempt at dehydrating... :) these are how it looks before being dehydrated... :) the smell of the pork is very yummy!!~ :) Serene told me that the strongest smelling ones are kunning and pork liver... now I'm kinda skeptical on whether to dry liver but I might give it a shot as that's 1 of Toby's favourites :P

These are how it looks before everything got dried up... :) Check out how it's like after hours in the dehydrator below... :P this is so fun... :) we've jus put in another tay of sliced beef and green apples... this would be ready by tomorrow morning when we wake up... woo hoo~ can get addictive drying food man... hehehe... :) I think the next thing i wanna try is liver, heart, lungs & maybe prawns... hiak hiak hiak... :P

Since I finished arranging my apples and salmon slices, I took some pics again while Mr Lee arranged the beef slices on the tray.... I then fed the trios the balance slices of apples as the tray was already full... hehehe... fruits before dinner... :)

The Trios slurping down their last dinner together... :)

Ebi after his delicious dinner... :)

And a good long yawn after a full meal... :)

T
hese are how the treats look like after being dehydrated for more than 5 hours... :) The end product of their treats in the tupperware before it gets refrigerated... :)

Today is Ebi darling's last day at our place... Serene came over around 6pm or so (I tink) to fetch Ebi home and as Winnie had to go for a house-warming party, she was going to send Emma over as well so that all 4 of them can mingle n play for a while before Ebi & Emma head home :) I must say that after having Ebi around with us for the last few days, it's kinda quiet without him... hahaha... he's a darling to have and I wouldnt mind taking care of him again... Ahem... Ah rene ah... maybe you should plan for more short trips more frequently wor... hahahah... :P

I managed to get a short vidoe of Toby & Ebi playing Tug of War... :)

Serene came back with our buys for the furkids and she also bought more stuffs for Toby & Tamy!~ Aww... she's such a dear :) Toby & Tamy love their new toys alot... hehehe... Thank You so much for all these as well as the goodies u bought for us... :) It's a joy having Ebi over. Jus pass him to us next time if u ar going for any trips ya... :) hehehe... We're missing him oredi... Good thing we'll be seeing him again on Sunday :)

~*~ Ebi's 4th Day - Digging In Progress ~*~

Since Ebi's 1st nite with us, I noticed that he loves doing something that only Tamy occassionally has a habit of doing. Tamy loves to dig at the comforter when on our bed. This is the only place where she does this... hehehe... and I find it kinda amusing when she does it cos it makes her look real silly... Toby on the other hand does not have this habit at all... :)

Well... now she has a companion for digging... Ebi loves digging anywhere n everywhere... hahaha... he digs the floor under the dining table, in front of the television, in our bedroom, on our bed, in Toby's bed and last nite, I caught him digging at the entrance of our master bedroom toilet... these are only jus some of the places where he loves digging... hahaha... for wat I don't really know and he doesnt care that I'm recording him in action... hahaha.... :)

Here are the 2 short videos of Ebi hard at work... hahaha... :P

Digging In Progress I - pardon the dimness...

Digging In Progress II - he stopped when I approached him but continued shortly after... :P

This little fiesty fella has brought even more joy n laughter to us during his short stay with us... :) Today, we brought all 3 of them for a walk in the afternoon as it was very cooling n windy... we had about 30min of walk before we quickly made our way home as the wind got stronger... signs of a heavy down pour... soon after we got home, Toby was 1st to have his bath as he was the dirtiest & smelliest, followed by Tamy and then it was Ebi's turn.

Ebi has 1 or 2 bumps ard his neck n chest area and more smaller bumps around his fleshy bum area... so we use the medicated shampoo that we bought from Marc when Toby used to have bumps to bath him, after which we clean the bum area with the medication tat Dr Heng prescribed for Toby followed by lots n lots of Neem powder... hehehe... it seems to be working... Ebi's not scratching and chewing much now....

Thruout the whole time when the other 2 had their bath, Ebi would keep loitering around the toilet area, popping his head in to see if whoever was bathing was done and kept coming near me as I drying Toby... it seemed like he too wanted a good scrubbing... and I gladly obliged... :) Hahaha.... now all 3 of them smell lovely n look puffy... hahaha... :)

I dread and dun really look forward to tomorrow as it means that Ebi would be going home... *sOb* *SoB* maybe I should hide all 3 of them in the room and pretend that no one's at home when Serene comes over in the nite to bring Ebi home... kekeke... :P But I'm sure Ebi's going to look forward to seeing Serene & Cat as well as Ah Gong, Ah Ma and Mermer... :) Good thing I'll be seeing this little fella next sunday at Sentosa when we have our usual meet-up chitchat session with our other MS kakis... :)

Ebi's such a doll to have... I'm gonna miss having him around our place and I'm very sure that Toby & Tamy would miss his pressence as well... I'm gonna miss his high pitch barks, his wanting us to rub his belly, his growls, his play bite, his kisses and most of all, I'm going to miss him sitting on my face when I'm in bed and kissing me at the same time... :)

Another thing I realised today is that Ebi has this fear or maybe irriation of metal clagging together. It happened when Garry was washing their bowls and accidentally dropped something into his metal bowl. That clagging noise made him bark non-stop and sickening Garry had to do it a second time to test if its really the cause of the metals clagging that made Ebi bark, which continued as a growl even when he was lying on the floor after we settle down in front of the tv.

Another thing that Ebi doesnt like it the pi po sound coming from the rag and bone man's horn... wah! while i was drying him earlier today, each time he hears the horn, he starts growling and den barking... hahaha... Ebi Ebi Ebi... always up to something to surprise or make us laugh as this has never happened with Toby & Tamy...

~*~ Ebi's 3rd Day ~*~

While waiting for Garry to get lunch, I started taking pics of the 3 rascals once again... kekeke... :) I tink I'm addicted man~ can stop takin pics of them... kekek... :P

After chasing one another and playing tug of war, Ebi finally settled down near his 2 panda frenz with 1 of his favourite chews... Tamy's squeaky bone... :)

And shortly after, the boys were back to playing together...

All of them were excited the minute they heard Garry opening the door and ran to greet him and especially to check out what delicious stuff he came home with... :P

Hor hor!~ I caught Ebi jumping onto my dining table to get closer to our yummilicious lunch... hahaha... no harm done... he was back onto the floor with Toby & Tamy in a jiffy... :P

Jus as Garry went out to throw our rubbish, our neighbour was on their way out and saw that we had another dog in the house and tot that we had another one... kekeke... told her that we were taking care of a frenz dog and she couldnt help but start playing with the trios... :)

Then it was back to more sniffiing and playing... :)

The 2 boys being kpos each time they hear any sound outside... My 2 dependable guard dogs :)

Here's Tamy playing with Ebi and once again she is tryin her luck at humping Ebi... *siGh*

And here's Ebi with another of his many favourites... :) Toby's purple flamingo...
