~*~*~ Tested -ve for Bloodworm ~*~*~

What a day it was for us yesterday... 1st off, Alfred came to deliver Toby's 3rd round of BARF. We decided to stop him on the Combi so this time we only ordered the Kangeroo, Lamb & Beef. This would last him for about a month or so... The packaging has changed... they now come in blocks and are vacummed packed, which is better... Lesser time needed for Alfred to seperate and pack the patties indicidually for us. These are how the new packaging looks like:

Next on our schdule was the aircon servicing... those service pple were late for more than an hour as they were held up elsewhere so we had to wait for them... in the end they came close to 3pm :( As they were walkin in and out the rooms, Toby was busying himself following them everywhere... as if making sure that they were doing their job... hahah... Busybody la this fella... :)

While they were doing their thing for our aircons, I was busy surfin SPC forum... reading some of the threats... After they left, I started talkin about the puppies with Garry and den the topic about vaccination and heartworm came up... We decided that it would be better to test Toby before we got a 2nd dog jus in case he tested +ve for the heartworms... cos the treatment for it is large enough to get a puppy... and we didnt want to strain watever finances we have further.

After discussion, we decided to bring Toby for the Heartworm Bloodtest in the evening just to be sure that he doesnt have those worms in his heart . I was so kan chiong the whole of yesterday cos I didnt know what the results would be like. I had to prepare myself for the worst... didnt want expectations to go high as I wanted him to have a clean bill of health. After about an hours wait or so, it was finally our turn to see Dr Heng. I tink Toby recognises her... cos he was so happy to see her... but then again once he was on the table... he got abit frightened cos I tink he remembered that the last time he was here, he had his anus poked! heheh... Anyway, when it was time to do the test, a nurse helped to hold Toby and Dr Heng took his bloodtest and bandaged his paw... ekeke... what a sigh of relief it was for us when the results showed -ve !! Hehehe.... :)

Dr Heng was very patient with all my questions about Heartguard, Frontline and Revolution... After hearing how often Toby goes out and how frequent he has interaction with other dogs, she recommended for Toby to be on Heartguard and Frontline. Her rationale was that because Toby goes out for his walks twice everydays and comes into contact with other dogs within close proximity at least once every week. So Heartguard is for the Heartworm prevention and Frontline is for the Ticks & Flea prevention.

As for scabbies and the other skin related problems, she said that it wasn't frequent for dogs to get such things and said that should he get it, medication could cure it. I thought that it was true and since my concerns were the Heartworm n ticks, we decided to follow Dr Hengs advice. The good thing is that both Heartguard and Frontline could be administered on the same day :) Good good... lesser dates to remember and I wont forget :)

During the consultation, I also asked Dr Heng if it was ok to delay Toby's yearly vaccination that was due in August as I wanted to put him thru the operation to check if his testicles were stuck in his abdomen or if it has been taken out. De Heng said that I could either bring forward the vaccination or do it a month after the operation as it was ok and no harm to delay it for a month. So, we decided to delay it. I am to call TJV in June to make an appointment for the operation with Dr Heng as I wan to do it on a sat and to be assured that I secure the date of my choice... heheh... So I better remember to do so... :)

There were so many animals at TJV... rabbits, cats dogs and most of them were schnauzers.... Toby made a few frenz... The 1 that left an impression was Pebble, a 10 mth old female B&S MS. The both of them jus cldnt get enaf of smelling each other... round n round in circles they went... hehehe.... so cute :) The bill for last nite's visit to Dr Heng added up to $131.95. I think it's a reasonable price to pay to know that your furkid is well and healthy... :) These were what we left TJV with...

This S10 solution is to be applied on Toby's belly for the skin problem... Dr Heng said that as it's not spreading, this should be good enough.

It was close to 9+ when we went home and after a bath we went out again... was supposed to go prawn fishing... popped by the Farm Mart at CCK and den left to go Hougang to fetch Sara... then we went to Pasir Ris Fishing pond cos there was a new prawn fishing area.... We almost wanted to pay for our rods when we heard the lady tellin another couple that their time was up and we overheard the lady sayin there wasnt any prawns... WaHaha... decided not to waste our money.... den Garry wanted to go to Loyang Tua Pek Gong... so off we went... waited for him den we drove down to Bedok Jetty... to kpo kpo see pple fish...

Last week we were there... n last nite we were back... and u know wat? Next week we'll be there again!!! Goodness.... mummy said that she wanted to bring grandpa n Nurul there for a walk and den for dinner before we left for BKK.... hmmm.... ok lor.... at least next week we get to bring Terry, Toby and Tommy there with us... hehehe... :) for once Toby gets to go ECP... cos whenever we go he's always at RPP having his grooming...

Anyway after Bedok jetty, we headed for Chanji Airport!!! Hahaha.... nowhere else to go for supper... the food stalls at ECP were mostly close liao... so we went to Macs... hahaha.... went there to makan and left the plc around 2.30am.... :) drove the girls back to Hougang and we had to park on the roof level of the MCP lor... *pEngz* after tt the 2 girls went home and Garry n myself went to take cab back.... we managed to flag a Comfort Sonata n as Mr Lee made his way in... he knocked his knee on the door lor... wahlau eh.... jus 1 knock n a slight scrap, his knee had minor abrasions lor... hahaha... so thin meh yr skin??? I'm relaxing and blogging while the PT Cleaner Gora is doing the household chores... we just changed our PT Cleaner... the last auntie cannot make it la... every week clean the same thing and week after week she still doesnt have time to clean the fans n all... Gora almost didnt make it today cos she forgot that she had to come to my plc cos it was her 1st assignment here... sms her ard 10.20am t ask if she lost her way and realised that she was at Eunice's plc...

Eunice is this lady from SMH forum who recommended Gora to me when she saw that I was looking for a new PT Cleaner... Eunice used to engage Gora's service every week but is now cutting down to jus the 1st n 3rd sunday. So I've agreed to take over the 2nd and 4th sunday... so every sunday Gora rotates between her plc and mine... I was looking forward to Gora coming today cos according to Eunice she's good and hardworking and can iron well... plus point there... :) Mr Lee's clothes can kill lor... all pants and L/S Shirts... *Bleah*

Gora reached around 11am n have been hard at work since... I tink she jus ate the chicken rice we bought for her... so far she seems good... very systematic lady... started by wiping the dining table and chairs... even the legs... den she moved on to wiping the coffee table, display shelve, tv console and even the main door... den she went to clean our stand fans followed by vaccuming and moppin... now she's cleaning the toilets... i tink once she's done she'll start ironing... very friendly lady... I hope she'll be the one we stick with permanenetly. Hopefully she knows how to rotate her work... from the looks of things... I'm pretty sure she does... :)
